Thank You For An Awesome 2019!
With all of the changes at phyxMe physical therapy, this year has flown by. Starting with the transition from Align Joint & Spine to phyxMe Physical Therapy to more accurately convey the scope of our work for those who don’t know us. Our office continues to build on our foundation of quality care with a focus on: neck, back, knee and shoulder pain. Align seemed a little too narrow to fully describe our current path. Just this year, Spinal Decompression Therapy, High Powered Laser Therapy (HPLT) and Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) were added to improve our ability to treat patients with stubborn joint and soft tissue problems. After 20 years in healthcare, it’s hard to surprise me. Decompression therapy is making disc bulges “disappear†in only a few short weeks AND the results we have seen with shockwave and laser therapy are nothing short of astounding and I don’t know how we practiced without them for this long. I would especially like to thank my “guinea pig†patients who were willing to undergo “experimental†procedures for the greater good of the rest of my patients. Yes, the research supported these treatments and showed excellent results but getting from paper to practice isn’t always a simple path. With these new machines, the learning curve has been short and sweet … and no patients had to suffer while we figured out what we were doing (thank you, Vic, Andy, Mark, Jamie, Fields, Lance and many more for being willing participants!)
I would also like to take a moment to thank everyone we’ve seen this year for making the office a GREAT place to be. My wife, Traci, always says the same thing when she spends any time with the team at the office, “You just have the nicest patients.†She was a nurse for over 20 years and seems surprised at how easy, friendly and motivated our patients prove to be. It is a genuine pleasure to come to the office and work with people who are highly motivated take action on their health and demonstrate extremely high levels of commitment in completing their care programs along with the follow-up programs where most of the work is done at home. Several of my friends have practices of similar size and they just don’t seem to have the same “feel†where patients seem more like friends and family as opposed to pieces being churned through the mill.
Our team plays a large role in keeping things genuine and avoiding the “churn mentality†found at the corporate chains like Athletico or ATI. Being an independent means patients are still treated like people and not numbers. And thankfully, I’ll never have to put policy before people because we will always remain an independent office who does not have to answer to some corporate office that’s out of touch with the day-to-day. Krystian, Martin, Martin, Nina, Bryan and Helen help to make my life easy due to their reliability and commitment to excellence. They are always willing to learn, train and focus on the little things to bring a higher level of care to you and I am extremely appreciative of them.
This year may be ending but another one is on its way and I am excited thinking of all the new people heading to our office and even more so to know you, my friends in practice, will be back too! Thank you for making it a pleasure to come to the office and we are appreciative of the many referrals you have sent to us this year. We appreciate your trust and confidence and look forward to helping as many of your friends, family and co-workers as possible.
Happy Holidays!
Dr. Dan and Team
